How we invest in public businesses
Micro cap – We prefer smaller businesses, usually under 1B in market cap
Low to no debt burden – We prefer cash flow generating businesses that are not burdened by high debt servicing costs.
High insider ownership – We believe management incentives must align with shareholders, including compensation plans.
Eminent catalyst / Growth – We believe being too early is the same as being wrong. Our thesis’ have timelines and our preferred catalyst is growth
How we invest in private businesses
Size, age, and location- we look for businesses generating between 1M – 5M in owner earnings. EBITD margins should be at least 10%. Business should be operating for at least 4 years and headquartered in North America.
Stable & diversified customer base – revenue and earnings should be stable and predictable, preferably with a high returning customer base
Established & niche – we look for businesses well established within a vertical with niche expertise
